Meet Our Leadership

Lori Posluns, Managing Partner General Counsel and Business Advisory Services

A lawyer by training and a business leader by experience, Lori began her legal career over 20 years ago in general civil litigation, with a particular focus on real estate disputes, construction matters, and latent defect claims. Her strong litigation background led to senior executive roles, including Chief Legal Officer and ultimately Chief Operating Officer of a global transportation brokerage with over $1 billion in annual revenue.

Lori brings deep expertise in the transportation, construction, and real estate sectors, allowing her to guide businesses through complex operational, regulatory, and cross-border challenges. She has successfully led international expansion initiatives, opened new branches abroad, and managed global teams. Today, she acts as a strategic partner for businesses expanding into Canada or growing internationally, offering both legal and business advisory services.

She now provides fractional General Conseil services and strategic business consulting to organizations seeking proactive, solutions-driven support—without the cost of a full-time hire. Her work focuses on risk prevention, governance, compliance, and operational alignment.

In addition, Lori offers alternative dispute resolution services, including mediation and arbitration. Her real estate practice remains active, supporting individuals, developers, and businesses in resolving disputes related to latent defects, construction conflicts, and other property-related matters—with both efficiency and foresight.

She is the author of a widely used Latent Defects Guide, trusted by property owners, real estate professionals, and legal practitioners seeking practical insights into this complex area of law.

As co-founder of the Centre de Médiation de Montréal, Lori is equally committed to public education and the promotion of mediation as a smart, dignified alternative to litigation. Known for her clarity, calm, and sharp business instincts, she helps clients stay out of court—and ahead of problems.
